Kristin Fenwick

Kristin Fenwick is passionate about the English language and the gift the Lord has given each of us to express ourselves eloquently. She believes this gift is developed and honed within a writing community, and her classroom is just that. Students are actively involved in writing, giving and receiving feedback, and producing polished works. Her classes will explore classic and contemporary literature as valuable models and inspiration. Kristin teaches with empathy and humor and is confident that all students can learn and grow with the right support.
Kristin has been a teacher since age six, when she began writing lessons with her stuffed animals. She holds a BS in Education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MA in English Literature from Wichita State University. Kristin has been active in the public school, charter school, and homeschool communities as a Teacher, Evaluator, Curriculum Coordinator, and Gifted and Talented Director.
Kristin lives with her husband and younger daughter on the picturesque Florida Emerald Coast, and her elder son lives in Northern Colorado. Their family also includes a King Shepherd, a Siamese cat, and four snakes (her daughter’s love, not hers). She enjoys reading almost any genre, gardening, British period dramas, 1000-piece jigsaw puzzles, and exploring the beautiful outdoors (when it’s not too humid). She is powered by hope, faith, and coffee!
