Darby’s passion is using academics to behold God and love His beauty. Whether reading an influential piece of literature, engaging in class discussions, or even thinking about grammar, her students can expect to delight in the truth and beauty (and fun!) in God’s world. She firmly believes that once the content matter is fun and meaningful, learning how to organize and write about it can be a joyous task. A former Wilson Hill Academy student herself, she is excited to give the next generation of students the same life-changing education that she received.

As an undergraduate, Darby studied at Cedarville University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in linguistics as well as a Bachelor of Arts in violin performance. She now lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she is studying for her M.Div. at the Reformed Theological Seminary. Over the last several years, she has enjoyed tutoring a variety of subjects, teaching English as a second language, and being involved in her church.

In her free time, Darby enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing board games, drinking a good cup of coffee, or any combination thereof. She also loves mountains (“I want to see mountains again, Gandalf!”), languages, and a good snickerdoodle cookie.
