Debby Louviere

Debby desires to instill in her students a life-long love of learning about Jesus Christ, His Word, and His world. She strives to make learning new material fun, interesting, and even exciting – especially when students may imagine something is “hard” or “boring.” She endeavors to engage the hearts and minds of the students so that they truly enjoy discovering unfamiliar subject matter. Debby loves to see the resulting self-respect when students work hard and enjoy the fruits of their labor, as this self-respect builds their confidence and equips them to tackle new challenges.
Debby earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Eastern Illinois University and a Juris Doctor degree from Louisiana State University. Her teaching experience includes fourteen years in a brick-and-mortar classical Christian school and homeschooling her youngest son for two years. Debby has served Wilson Hill as a teacher and as an Admissions Counselor since 2023.
Debby and her husband, Andre, live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and have four children. Their three oldest children graduated from Wilson Hill Academy (2020, 2022 and 2025), and their youngest son is on track to earn a WHA diploma in 2027. Debby and her husband have been active members of Christ Presbyterian Church for over twenty years. Some of her favorite things are spending time with her family, drinking coffee, reading, teaching folk dance, learning Psalms, fellowshipping with friends, and crocheting.
