* Introduction to Rhetoric, also known as Fundamentals of Research & Presentation, is a skills-based course, introducing practical aspects of rhetoric rather than its abstract theory. The course uses each student’s state history as the subject material to train students in research techniques and “pre-rhetoric” presentation skills.  It does not depend upon Introduction to Logic, and the two courses can be taken together or in either order.

** There is no prerequisite for Latin 1, and students with a good grasp of English grammar should do well without prior exposure to Latin. It will also help them with their English grammar!  However, 7th graders who wish to begin their Latin studies at a slower pace may enroll in Fundamentals of Latin.
