Julie has been an educator for the past 20 years, working with students in preschool to ninth grade in both online and bricks-and-mortar schools. She has a love for history that began with a 4th grade Virginia state history project, evidenced by the fact that she reads every plaque in history museums. Julie attended Liberty University. She has been a part of designing courses and writing history curriculum. She has a reputation for realistic counseling for home school families, assisting parents in developing plans for their children. Homeschooling her 5 children (ages 5-15) has given her unique insights into the challenges faced by many who educate their children this way. She and her husband share a passion for missions and other cultures. As a mission team coordinator, she has taken 25 teenagers to other cultures to share God’s love with them. In her spare time she creates gourmet recipes for her friends and family to enjoy, reads, travels with her husband, and dreams of ways to relocate to a warm coastal region. She lives in Lancaster, PA, with her husband Bruce and children Isaac, Sarah, Zachary, Jack, and Micah.
