Emily Plummer is a Yankee expatriate living in Texas. She has taught for the past seventeen years in both traditional and non-traditional settings. After graduating Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Texas at Austin with a double-major in English and the Plan II Honors Program, as well as minors in Latin and History, she discovered that teaching was an ideal vocation for someone who loves to learn new things every day. She was trained in classical Christian methodology at Regents School of Austin, but after her first child was born, she retired from the classroom to utilize her educational skills in other settings. Her favorite part of teaching is sharing her infectious love of learning with her students and watching them investigate the truths of how God is at work in the world. When not teaching or reading, she is happiest when outside enjoying God’s creation or gardening. She and her husband, Chris, live in McKinney, TX, where they homeschool their four children.
