Annie Crawford is a homeschooling mom, teacher, and nature-lover whose heart has been captured by the beauty of truth. More than anything, she loves to help others learn how to look at the world around them and see that all truth is God’s truth.
As an undergraduate, Annie had the privilege of studying literature and philosophy with Alan Jacobs, Leland Ryken, and Arthur Holmes at Wheaton College before finishing a B.S. in environmental science at the University of Oregon and a Certificate of Biblical studies from Ecola Bible College. She also holds a Masters in Christian Apologetics from Houston Baptist University, where her studies focused on C.S. Lewis and the great texts of the Western canon. While in graduate school, Annie worked as a writing tutor for students in the HBU School of Christian Thought.
For the last two decades, Annie has worked to reintegrate education and discipleship as she homeschooled her three daughters and developed the Faith & Culture ministry at Christ Church Anglican in Austin. In 2014, Annie co-founded Vine Classical Community where she currently teaches apologetics, rhetoric, and literature in addition to teaching for Wilson Hill online. Annie also writes and edits for An Unexpected Journal, which she helped to found with a merry band of HBU apologists in 2017.
A native Oregonian, Annie loves a good cup of strong coffee and to be in the mountains with her family whenever possible. She also especially enjoys black licorice, Jane Austen, and spontaneous dance parties. You can learn more about her apologetic work at anniecrawford.net.
