Section: History, Schools, Summer   |   School: Grammar School, School of Logic

The Story of History series covers the flow of history from Bible times through the 20th century, providing students with a backdrop against which they can better engage in the Great Conversation. Students in the upper Grammar School or School of Logic will get to know the heroes, villains and key events of the period using both biographies and selected works of historical fiction in addition to nonfiction narrative histories (where available). This 8-lesson mini-course from the Making of Europe class covers topics from the beginning of World War 1 including: the Assassination of Archduke Ferdinand, the Alliances Honored, Trench Life, Military Technology (Communications, Weaponry, Aircraft, Submarines), Women in World War, and Overview of Major Battles.
