Section: Literature, Summer   |   School: Grammar School

Travel back to the pioneer childhood days of pioneer Americans Laura Ingalls and Almanzo Wilder. Their resourcefulness, resilience and rare perseverance helped to build America into a great nation. We’ll join them as they carve a home out of the raw landscape, meet bears in the woods, train baby oxen, eat from the earth’s bounty, give a country school exhibition, survive blizzards and feed candy to a pig! Come peek through a window of The Little House with me, and catch a glimpse of true American history.

This is a Grammar School level entry in our “Get to Know” series of courses that focus on a single author.  Students need to read Little House in the Big Woods and Little House on the Prairie before class if at all possible.
