Dr. Stadrlombardonley Lombardo, Professor Emeritus of Classics at the University of Kansas, is one of the world’s leading scholars and translators of classical epic poetry. His translation of the Odyssey was a New York Times Book of the Year in 2000. He is also well known for his dramatic readings of such poems as the Iliad and the Divine Comedy, which he has performed at various venues throughout the country.

We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Lombardo will provide the WHA community with an opportunity to experience a dramatic reading of selections from Homer, Virgil, Ovid, and Dante. Epic poems were meant to be performed to an audience. We hope you will join us for this unique opportunity to enjoy these classic poems the way the Greeks and Romans did so long ago!

All current and former WHA students and their families are invited to join us here on October 27 at 8:00pm (Eastern) for this event.
